COMING SOON - July 2010
Firstly, my apologies to all of those hundreds of customers who have wanted to order our digital links over the past few months.
We are turning people away daily so naturally it is also disapointing for us.
Unfortunatley our efforts are focussed on a very large order for other products in the Teletest Range and we hope to return to the digital link as soon as possible.
We will email everyone on our list 2 weeks beforethe first batch is ready - please keep you enquiries coming in though.
Nick Rose, Managing Director, Teletest Ltd
In July 2010, Teletest is launching two affordable, state of the art SDI and HD-SDI digital radio link product sets for broadcast and monitoring.
These products are based on the 5GHz ISM band COFDM MiMo wireless system with 4 channels to select.
They carry 4:2:2 RGB 10-bit video and 2 embeded audio signals without any loss or picture break up in normal environments.
There is "zero delay" (the latency is below 5mS) so these units provides real-time monitoring.
These digital links are perfect for Steadicam users where analogue links are prone to breaking up as the cameraman moves around. These units are sold in matched pairs and unlike the analogue radio links, only one receiver will work per transmitter.
Traditionally, digital microwave links have been cost-prohibitive and only available to High End Production and large Outside Broadcast firms. Like all of Teletest's other products, this new range will be the most afforable and the smallest on the market.
For miniature and low cost video and audio transmitters and receivers, see Teletest's Analogue radio link products.
Portable Transmitter and Receiver
This compact and lightweight pair of TX and RX units fit between a battery and a camera or a battery and an LCD. Transmitted distances of around 30m is normal.
All popular broadcast battery plates can be fitted to both sides of each unit: V-Lock, PAG or Anton Bauer.
You specify your battery plates at the time of order - so you could have, for example PAG plates on the transmitter and V-Locks on a receiver.
If you had really special requirements, you could even have different plates on each side of each unit!
Portable Transmitter and High Gain Fixed Receiver
This receiver has 15dBi high gain antennas built into it to increase the normal range to approx 70m.
As the unit is larger and must be pointed in the direction of the transmitter, it is best mounted on a pole or tripod (not included).
Therefore this unit is perfect for fixed installations and for use with larger director's monitors.
