TRANSMITTERS
Compact and high powered, Teletest's 100mW 7 channel 5.8GHz transmitters sends high quality analogue video pictures & stereo audio signals with minimal break-up over distances of up to:
OUTDOORS: 100m (moving) and 150m (static)
INDOORS: 20m (moving) and 50m (static)
These distances can be improved using Teletest's high gain antennas.
RECEIVERS
Using Teletest's high quality internal and external 5.8GHz receivers, directors can hear and see the action away from the camera.
WHY CHOOSE 5.8GHz?
In urban areas 2.4GHz video links suffer greatly with interference from Wi-Fi and Bluetooth equipment using the same frequencies. Thus 5.8GHz is now the frequency of choice for all new confidence monitoring radio links.
CAN THE SIGNAL BE RECORDED?
Whilst the analogue signal is not broadcast quality, when the transmitter and receiver are in fixed positions with a clear line of site, there is minimal break-up. Thus for some applications, such as live events, the video and audio signals can be used for purposes other than confidence monitoring.
MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
The best way to find out if the 5.8GHz radio link is suitable for your application is to order direct under Teletest's 14day money back guarantee.
Every user has different needs and expectations and every user will experience different results - so the best way is to try for yourself!
TESTING THE PRODUCT
Most filming with radio links is made in houses or outdoors. In these environments 5.8GHz analogue radio links will work perfectly.
Please see the following video: http://www.teletest.net/video.aspx?video=0004-0000-0002+
However, 5.8GHz analogue radio links WILL NOT work in buildings or rooms where there is a lot of metal, for example workshops (where there is a lot of metal shelves and wires) or industrial units / TV studios (where the walls have a metal construction).
Therefore when you buy your 5.8GHz radio links DO NOT conduct your tests inside a workshop, a TV Studio or an industrial uinit as the products WILL NOT WORK.

" I used the Teletest transmitter receiver monitor system constantly mounted on the camera.
It is an incredible, good value for money tool which allows you to keep the Director, Producer or other crew member permanently on your wave length.
This system gave me more creative freedom and efficiency which contributed of the quality of my work."

I have owned a Teletest monitor and wireless link for over 4 years. I use it daily. These days more and more directors expect it as part of your basic shooting kit. The wireless link provides excellent flexibility and it stops that over-enthusiastic director breathing down your neck all day. I wouldn't be without it now.

As time has gone by, I have gathered together a small, well chosen selection of tools to make my life easier. They are things that are as personal to me as my light meter or my pan glass. One of those special items is my Teletest transmitter and receiver.
Ideas can often come to the director and myself whilst shooting. If I have my Teletest kit with me, it can help free up the creative process, where wires would hinder. I have used it to transmit images from cameras attached to, or in cars. It has been quickly taped to my operator’s camera when crazy hand held shots have been thrown into a sequence and it has given me pictures from a film camera whilst spinning 360 degrees around an actor on a special rig.
This equipment is often associated with documentary or corporate cameramen, but I can say it is a tool worth having for many different types of work. I found myself using it on my last feature film ‘The Lookalike’ throwing it into my luggage with my pan glasses and light meter.
Many Thanks
Laurence Blyth
