99.9% of ALL reported problems are finger trouble! We can sort almost all problems out over the phone; try following the Q & A below and if you are having no luck then give us a call.

POWER
Q: Why do I have no picture on the LCD screen?
A: Ensure the monitor is turned on.
A: Ensure there a power supply connected to the DC socket.
NOTE: Any LEDs will be on if there is power applied to the monitor and the screen will briefly flash (backlight starting) when power is applied.
Q: The LEDs are on / backlight is glowing; why do I still have no picture on the LCD screen?
A: Ensure all the picture controls are set mid way.
A: Ensure there is a picture coming down the cable.
SUGGESTION: You can check there is a picture on the cable by connecting the cable into a different monitor or an oscilloscope.
Q: (for OZC2xxx LCDs) Why doesn't the monitor display a PC picture?
A: Ensure you have set the resolution to a mode the monitor will accept (see manufacturer's instructions).
LCD SCREENS
Q: Why is the angle of view on the LCD screen very poor?
A: Ensure the brightness is not turned down.
A: Ensure the screen is not being viewed too far to the left or right of the operator.
NOTE: This question usually comes up from system integrators installing an LCD in a fixed position for the first time, to the spec of a customer who was trained using conventional tube monitors. They turn the brightness of the LCDs down to match the CRTs and position the LCD in unrealistic positions, very often in sound booths.
SUGGESTION: An operator can only realistically look at an LCD directy in the field of view in front of them. At a coorect viewing distance this is no more than 1-2m wide. If more are needed wider apart, then position the outer ones at an angle, similar to that of a semi-circle.
Q: Why do I not have a 16/9 picture?
A: Is the LCD screen 16/9?
NOTE: If it is a 4/3 screens, a 16/9 picture will be displayed "squashed". 4/3 LCD screens do not display 16/9 pictures in letterbox format like CRT screens.
Q: Why do I have a faulty pixel or two?
A: Unfortunately no LCD manufacturer in the World can produce a pixel fault free screen 100% of the time.
PICTURE CONTROL
Q: I have a PAL picture on the screen. Why is the Tint picture control not working properly?
A: Tint only works for NTSC pictures.
Q: (for OZC2xxx LCDs) Do I always need to use the remote control to make the monitor work?
A: No. It is only required for initial setup.
Q: (for OZC2xxx LCDs) Does the monitor have RS232 control?
A: No. The 9pin control socket is for the remote control box supplied.
